Information sheet on Art.13 of the GDPR (EU)

According to Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the following information must be provided to you when collecting personal data:

• On Art. 13 para. 1 a) and b):
  Responsible for the collection and processing of personal data: Surname, first name, residence, apartment, telephone number, e-mail, personal accessibility, IP address, MAC address is the Studentenwerk Göttingen Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts, Platz der Göttinger Sieben 4, 37073 Göttingen [in the following: Studentenwerk Göttingen]. Concrete data processing body is the IT department, area Internet of dormitories.

• On Art. 13 para. 1 c):
  The collection of personal data is required, in order to allow an analysis of the reported incident and any contact with the reporting person. This is based on your consent in accordance with. Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. (Legal basis)
  
  
• On Art. 13 para. 1 e):
  The personal data will not be transmitted to third parties.
  
  
• On Article 13 para. 2 a):
  The storage duration of the data varies and will be communicated to you in individual cases. In any case, personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed. Wherever possible, the data will be anonymised.
  
  
• On Art. 13 para. 2 b):
  The data subject has a right of information from Studentenwerk Göttingen regarding the personal data concerning him/her and, if necessary, for rectification, deletion or restriction of the processing of these data and a right of objection to processing as well as any right to data portability.
  
  
• On Art. 13 para. 2 c):
  As far as the data processing is based on your consent, you always have the right to revoke the consent. The data processing until then remains legal, the revocation applies only to the future.
  
  
• On Art. 13 para. 2 d):
  The data subject has a right of appeal to the Landesbeauftragten für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (State Commissioner for Data Protection Lower Saxony), Prinzenstrasse 5, 30159 Hannover, E-mail: poststelle[at]lfd.niedersachsen.de.
  
  
• On Art. 13 para. 2 e):
  The provision of data by you may be mandatory. You will be informed about this in individual cases.
  
  
• On Art. 13 para. 3:
  If it is intended to process the personal data for a purpose other than that for which it was originally collected, then Studentenwerk Göttingen will provide the data subject with information about this other purpose and all other relevant information prior to such further processing.
